Open the clamp jaw by turning the screw handle counter clockwise.
Position the beam clamp on the supporting beam.
Close the clamp jaw tight by turning the screw handle clockwise.
Check and be sure the jaw is fully clamped.
Ensure the the load is centered (except JBC model beam clamp)
Always lift slowly and maintain constant observation of the load.
